Description

The statue of Hercules was the work of William Brodie and believed to have been created around 1863

a National Trust car park and the Welsh Highland Railway line

It is typical of the flat bottomed glacial U shaped valley

An unusual view from the floor of Nant Ffrancon looking towards the Glyderau which are totally obscured by low cloud which was lifting as I watched

Not sure of its history but it looks as if it predates the building of the village with its more traditional styling
