The upper side has been designed to overlap the breastplate, thereby providing extra protection to the armpits. The pauldrons may be fastened with leather straps around the upper arm and shoulder, whilst laces permit attachment to a breastplate. This armour is particularly well suited to late medieval costumes and LARP battles.
