RESULTS Overall, 21 physicians participated in five IDIs and four FGDs (two for inpatient services and two for outpatient services)

While tobacco use has declined significantly in recent decades, nearly 1 in 5 US adults reported that they used tobacco products in 2022, and about 8 percent of youth reported that they used these products in 2024
At the time that the advisory was issued, according to data from the NYTS, the prevalence of e-cigarette use among high school students was 20.8%, and the prevalence of e-cigarette use among middle school students was 4.9%
